Imagine Expressive Arts Collective Returns to Orangeville for Season Two
An inclusive expressive arts program where adults can create, connect, explore and take the stage. No auditions required.
It’s time to Imagine again!
Following the creativity, connection and joy of its first season, the Imagine Expressive Arts Collective is returning to Orangeville, Ontario for Season Two, offering adults ages 18+ an inclusive space to explore the expressive arts, build relationships and create something meaningful together.
Presented with the involvement of Branching Out Support Services (BOSS), Imagine is not your traditional theatre program. There are no auditions, no expectation that everyone participate in the same way and no requirement to arrive with previous theatre or performing arts experience.
Instead, participants are invited to bring their own interests, ideas, strengths and creativity to the experience.

What Is the Imagine Expressive Arts Collective?
Imagine Expressive Arts Collective is a community-based creative arts program for neurodiverse adults in Orangeville and Dufferin County.
The program provides opportunities to explore different forms of artistic expression while developing friendships, discovering new interests, learning skills and becoming part of a creative community.
Rather than beginning with a predetermined production and assigning people roles, Imagine takes a participant-informed approach. The final showcase grows from the ideas, interests and creative contributions of the people taking part.
That means there are many ways to participate.
For some people, that may mean performing. For others, creativity may emerge through movement, storytelling, visual art, music, character development or another form of expression.
The goal is not to fit participants into a traditional theatre model. It is to create an environment where people can explore what creativity means to them.
Season Two Gives Creativity More Time to Grow
One of the exciting changes for Season Two is more time together.
Building on what was learned during the first season, the program has been expanded to give participants additional time to become comfortable with one another, build relationships, experiment with different creative experiences and develop their collective vision.
Beginning in September 2026, participants will spend 11 weeks exploring creativity, meeting inspiring creative guests and developing new skills.
Following the holiday break, the group will return in January 2027 for an additional 12 sessions.
During this second phase, participants will begin bringing their ideas together and developing their final community showcase.
The season culminates in April 2027, when the Imagine Expressive Arts Collective will proudly share what they have created with the Orangeville community.
No Auditions. Creativity Belongs to Everyone.
One of the most important things to know about Imagine is simple:
There are no auditions.
You do not have to consider yourself an actor, artist or performer to belong.
The only requirement is that participants are able to be safe in the community and participate in the best way they can.
Imagine was created around the belief that expressive arts should be accessible and that creativity is not limited to people with formal artistic training.
The program welcomes community members ages 18 and older, including neurodiverse adults looking for an inclusive opportunity to develop creative skills, make connections and participate meaningfully in their community.
This philosophy closely reflects the approach of Branching Out Support Services. BOSS believes in creating opportunities that are choice-based, participant-informed, caregiver-aligned and connected to the community.
Meet the Creative Facilitators
Season Two will once again be supported by creative facilitators Trish Hunt and Heather Hurst.
Rather than simply directing participants toward a predetermined outcome, facilitators will help create an environment where ideas can be explored, skills can develop and participants can discover how they would like to contribute.
Throughout the season, participants will also have opportunities to meet and learn from creative guests, adding new experiences and inspiration to the program.

Who: Adults ages 18+
When: Fridays
Fall Sessions: September 18 to December 11, 2026
Holiday Break: December 2026 to January 2027
Winter/Spring Sessions: January through April 2, 2027
Time: 1:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.
Cost: $750, inclusive of all sessions
Funding: Passport admissible
Location: Mill Street Library, Lower Level, Orangeville, Ontario
Accessibility: Fully accessible
Final Showcase: April 2027
The program includes 23 sessions across the two portions of the season, providing participants with an extended opportunity to build relationships and develop their creative work.
